During an inaugural meeting, the Directorate General of Police Operations and the Directorate General of the Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters discussed mutual policing coordination and integration in a bid to provide optimal services to members of the public according to advanced standards. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Director of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs, and a number of high ranking officers.

During the meeting, which was recently held at the Directorate General of Police Operations, attendees discussed the means to develop competencies and skills between both parties’ different police departments, in order to boost the efficiency of police and security work. A number of other topics were reviewed, with the aim of identifying potential improvement opportunities, in pursuance of the Abu Dhabi Police’s vision, aimed at enhancing security and stability in the Abu Dhabi emirate.

The meeting also tackled the means to promote police work, support the efforts to spread a sense of security and safety, guarantee preparedness, boost competencies building. It also called for making use of all available resources to upgrade work standards according to the latest practices, and to elaborate developmental plans and initiatives.
