The Law Culture Respect Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, organized awareness lectures that benefitted as many as 1,110 worker in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The lectures are organized in cooperation with the Guidance Department at the Ministry of Labor.
Lieutenant Juma’a Mohammed Al Hosani from the Law Respect Culture Bureau said that legislations and laws enacted by the UAE have organized the rights and duties of all individuals to provide them with a safe life. “The law protects people’s rights but in return, has imposed on them a number of legal obligations that must be practiced within the limits of the law,” he added
Lieutenant Al Hosani also noted that the lectures called for refraining from actions and behaviors that are criminalized by the law, to avoid legal accountability.
For his part, Lieutenant Khaled Saif Bu Dhufaira stressed the Bureau’s commitment to communicate constantly with workers and interact with them in a positive manner, in order to prepare them to actively receive the legal awareness message, which highlights both the legal rights and legal obligations. “This would allow workers to realize that the applicable laws do them justice and respect their rights before penalizing him for violating legal provisions,” he said.
