Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, met, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with a German delegation headed by Lieutenant General Dr. Wilhelm Schmidbauer, Chief of Bavarian State Police. The delegation includes Lieutenant General Hubertus Andrae, Munich Police Chief, and Brigadier Andrea Remi, Director General of the Office of the Munich Police Chief. It is worth mentioning that the German delegation is carrying out a several-day official visit to the UAE, during which they will meet a number of officials at the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, both parties discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, as well as the means to strengthen cooperation in policing areas between the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, Head of the Training Department at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Ali Al Shamesi, Head of the Organizational Structure Department at the Ministry; Colonel Othman Khoury, Head of the Education Department at Abu Dhabi Police; and Lt. Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior.
The visiting delegation, accompanied by Maj. Gen. Khaili, toured the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector to review the UAE’s experience in the field of naturalization, residence and ports, issuance of electronic passports, and modern systems used in this process.
Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Naturalization; Colonel Mohammed Khamis Al Ka’bi, Legal Adviser to the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector at the Ministry of Interior; and a number of officers from the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector accompanied the German delegation during the visit.
