Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Police Sports Association, secured the position of Vice President of the International Police Sports Union (USIP). Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College, was also selected as a member of the USIP Technical Committee. The selection came at the 14th USIP General Assembly meeting, which was recently held in Kuwait. This represents the latest in a long line of international accomplishments for the UAE’s sports sector.
“This achievement was made possible thanks to the UAE’s international reputation and the tremendous support of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, along with their brethren, their Highnesses, Rulers of the Emirates,” said Colonel Al Dhaheri. “This was also accomplished due to the unlimited support and trust of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.”
Colonel Al Dhaheri stressed that winning this position is a testament to the capabilities of the sons of the UAE to handle such positions. He expressed his happiness and utmost appreciation to all the countries supporting and blessing his nomination. He wished the best of luck to Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi in his new position as a member of the USIP Technical Committee.
