The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi honored the winners in the best festive appearance competition that was organized in line with the Directorate’s participation in the celebrations of the 44th National Day.

Brigadier Yusuf Ismail Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, has named the Domestic Workers Affairs Follow-up Department, the E-Services Section, the Branch of the office of the Director General and his Deputy, and the Passports Office in Mussafah, as the best Directorate General’s departments and divisions that participated in this competition. The competition was organized to celebrate the National Day by embodying the UAE’s heritage character in many areas; highlight the distinctive identity of the UAE Society which is subject of pride for all citizens; and celebrate the Commemoration Day that coincided with the National Day celebrations in the memory of the UAE martyrs.

Brigadier Khouri praised the launch of this competition organized as part of the cooperation between the Media and the Public Relations Section and the Al Dhabyaniah Committee at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi. “This competition has achieved its goals including clarifying the historical image and heritage of the country by enriching the memories of employees, customers and visitors with heritage landscapes that reflect originality of the community; the assets that reflect the deep roots of the country; and the UAE’s gains achieved over time until our modern days,” he added.

The honoring ceremony was held in the Innovation Lab at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, and was attended by the heads of departments, chiefs of sections, and a number of officers and officials.
