Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, awarded numerous officers their new ranks on the occasion of their promotion following the Federal Decree No. 106 of the year 2012, which was issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony took place today at the Lectures Hall in the Ministry of Interior.
Al Sha’far congratulated officers for their promotion, and conveyed the congratulations of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to them, expressing appreciation for their dedicated hard work.
He said that this gracious initiative of His Highness President of the UAE is a source of pride, and emphasizes that there is a large number of police leaders who are capable of carrying on the increasing responsibilities of security forces due to the variables and updates witnessed by the world today creating challenges that have to be faced and tackled.
He added: “This makes us proud of the level of security and safety we enjoy in our country and the services provided by the Ministry in different security fields, which create a quantitative shift in the Ministry’s performance. We are keen to preserve the achievements in line with the government’s efforts aiming to position the UAE among the elite nations of the world.”
He called upon all staff to redouble their efforts and remain dedicated at work to face regional and global challenges, protect national achievements, and promote peace and stability in the UAE. He wished success to the newly promoted officers.
The ceremony was attended by Adviser Abdullah Salem bin Nassra Al Amiri, President of Sports Police Union; Major General Muhammed Saeed Al Marri, Sports Police Union Vice President; Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of Public Relations Department; and Colonel Muhammed Obaid Al Dhadiri, Head of Staff Affairs Department in the Ministry of Interior.
