Ai Ain public interacts with women police shows at
al Bawadi Mall
ADP celebrated the 32 anniversary of first batch of women police in 1978. Large numbers of families and audience attended at al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain came to watch the shows staged by women police elements.
Celebrations began with a military parade through the corridors of the Mall amid admiration of audience. Then women police elements headed to to the center of the Mall and staged military shows characterized by accuracy. The shows included combat arts, self-defence skills, assembling and disassembling of weapons and how to have control over criminals who try to resist arrest.
The celebrations included cultural activities and quizzes about the vital role of women police in maintaining the country security and stability, and reflecting the Emirati women ability to contribute to the country national development and growth progress. A number of women police elements delivered speeches showing how they joined the police force.
Colonel Waleed Salim al Shamsi, Director of ADP GHA Department of Police Schools affirmed that the celebrations of the 32nd anniversary of first batch of women police, was in response to the directives of the police leadership, under the slogan (Our past is our heritage and our heritage is our treasure).
These celebrations were intended to acquaint the public with the areas of women work in the police force and their positive role in community building, which welcomed by the public during the shows, added Al Shamsi.
He affirmed ADP GHQ attention to women elements in police force would continue after they had proved their success in different tasks and duties assigned to them. They became one of key elements of national work field.
Colonel al Shamsi thanked the celebrations organizers who highlighted the role and achievements of of women police elements in maintaining the country security and stability.
